Who are the Abingdon Lions?

We are a group of local people, who volunteer our time to help our community.
How help our community?
We raise funds then use the money to give out grants or support local people in need. We also offer our support at events and when we can local people.
How do you raise money?
In the summer months we attend various event, such as the Abingdon Food Festival. In December, we run the Santa Sleigh that goes around the streets of Abingdon.

How Can I get a grant or request funding?
If you are a charity or organisation you can fill out one of our grant forms. If you are a person in need or want help with something you can email us. Grant forms, other requests, including message in bottle needs to be sent to our welfare chair

Do you do anything else?
We are also responsible for:
- message in a bottle and wallet
- glasses and hear aid recycling
- buying and installing several defibrillators around Abingdon
Can I join or where do I get more information about meeting?
Anyone over 18 years old can join there is more information on Join Us. We met once a month on the 2nd Wednesday
