Shows
This month we attended both Cholsey Show and Cowley Classic Car Show. We were there with our tombola (win a lion) and message in a bottle/wallet. We are trying to come up with new ways to make more money, that way we have more money to give away. We would love to hear your ideas.

Banbury Lions Race Night 21st September
Please help us support Banbury Lions by going to their Race Night on the 21st September at Exeter Hall Kidlington.
They are also on the look out for some really special raffle prizes so let us know if you can help
“The event is being organised by the combined Lions Clubs of Oxfordshire. We have been approached by the Oxford Children’s Hospital to help raise funds towards a new type of monitoring machine to go beside patients’ beds. The new machines cost nearly £5,000 each and will be able to travel with the children between wards and hospitals, meaning that they do not need to go through the traumatic experience of being disconnected and reconnected as was previously the case.
Please bring friends and family along to support our charity event and raise essential funds for the hospital. Thank you.” Banbury Lions

Other Days Out
23rd June
We were at the Abingdon Food and Drinks Festival supporting Rotary Club of Abingdon Vesper to raise money for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance. We ran our stall, with Tombola (win a lion) and message in a bottle/wallet while also providing a helping paw with the car parking. Thank you to all of the drivers that make this easy for us.
30th June
We were at the Radley Flower Show and Family Fun Day with our Tombola (win a lion) and message in a bottle/wallet. Sadly there weren’t a lot of people there but we had a good day and hopefully have come up with some good ideas to make more money so we can keep supporting our community.
Aunt Sally
We had an Aunt Sally night where we invited other Lions to join us.
Aunt Sally is a game that is played in pubs and is very popular in Oxfordshire. The idea of the game is to knock the ‘dummy’ off a poll by throwing sticks at it.
